The marine grade aluminum 5052 thick plate is often used for the ship deck, especially 5 bar aluminum tread plate. 5052 aluminum plate is an Al-Mg alloy aluminum plate. The main alloy element is magnesium. This alloy has high strength, high plasticity and corrosion resistance and cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. It has good plasticity during semi-cold work hardening, low plasticity during cold work hardening, good corrosion resistance, good weldability, and poor machinability and polishing.
